Taxonomy
Naticopsis (Neritomopsis) ambiensis was named by Reed (1944). Its type specimen is GSI 17223, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dhodha Wahan, Bellerophon bed, west of Amb, Salt Range, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
