Taxonomy
Affinocrinus progressus was named by Moore and Strimple (1973). It is not extant. Its type specimen is SUI 33295 (dorsal cup). Its type locality is East bank of Grand River abandoned quarry (Loc. 16), which is in a Morrowan marine limestone/shale in the Bloyd Formation of Oklahoma.
