Taxonomy
Gyraulus sachsenhoferi was named by Harzhauser et al. (2012). It is not extant. Its type locality is Jauring and Pletschgraben, Aflenz Basin, which is in a Langhian lacustrine sandstone/gravel in the Feistring Formation of Austria.
