Stratesaurus taylori

Taxonomy
Stratesaurus taylori was named by Benson et al. (2012) [urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:E2BA4E44-3E28-4​987-928F-DF559BDCA98F]. Its type specimen is OUMNH J.10337, a partial skeleton (a skull and partial postcranial skeleton including anterior cervical and pectoral vertebrae, a partial hindlimb and ilium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Street (general), which is in a Hettangian shallow subtidal limestone/shale in the Blue Lias Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Stratesaurus.
