Taxonomy
Lucasites involutus was named by Brühwiler and Bucher (2012). Its type specimen is PIMUZ 27339 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jebel Safra JS11a, which is in a Smithian basinal (carbonate) lime mudstone in Oman. It is the type species of Lucasites.
