Taxonomy
Strombina costaricensis musanica was named by Olsson (1922) [Type specimen represented by lectoype.]. Its type specimen is PRI 21064, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Strombina (Lirastrombina) musanica by Jung (1989).
