Rectobolivina was named by Cushman (1927) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-m R]. It is extant. It was considered unknown by Cushman (1927).

It was assigned to Siphogenerinoidinae by Cushman (1927); and to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002).
