Boultonia guadalupensis was named by Skinner and Wilde (1954). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bone Canyon, south wall near mouth, which is in a Kungurian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Bone Spring Formation of Texas.
