Rectuvigerina was named by Mathews (1945) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-u R]. It is extant. It was considered unknown by Mathews (1945).

It was assigned to Tubulogenerininae by Mathews (1945); and to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002).
