Taxonomy
Dimorphoceratoides adamsi was named by Work et al. (2012). Its type specimen is SUI 104358 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Prestonsburg, 1.9-2.4 m above base, which is in a Moscovian marine shale in the Four Corners Formation of Kentucky.
