Taxonomy
Triticites springvillensis was named by Thompson et al. (1950). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is S.-C. Wasatch Mtns - loc. U-3, which is in a Pennsylvanian marine limestone in the Oquirrh Formation of Utah.
