Taxonomy
Triticites gracilis was named by Wilde (2006). Its type specimen is NMMNH P-52876 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample 383, Bugle Ridge, which is in a Gzhelian shallow subtidal limestone in New Mexico.
