Taxonomy
Quinquenella magnifica was named by Archbold (1981). Its type specimen is IMC 72, a valve (dorsal valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Aifam River 79SH80, which is in a Kungurian marine shale in the Aifat Formation of Indonesia.
