Taxonomy
Preshumardites stainbrooki was named by Plummer and Scott (1937). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Just north of Jacksboro-Chico highway, west of Chico, which is in a Kasimovian marine shale in the Caddo Creek Formation of Texas.
