Teleidosaurus joberti
Taxonomy
Teleidosaurus joberti was named by Eudes-Deslongchamps (1867). Its type specimen is BMNH 32612 (cast of type), a mandible (anterior fragment of right mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Great Oolite, Caen, Normandy (BMNH Tesson collection), which is in a Bathonian marine horizon in the Great Oolite Formation of France.
It was synonymized subjectively with Teleidosaurus calvadosii by Young et al. (2010).
