Rhacheosaurus gracilis

Reptilia - Metriorhynchidae

Taxonomy
Rhacheosaurus gracilis was named by Meyer (1831). Its type specimen is Lost holotype; but casts of the vertebral comlumn and hindlimbs exist (AMNH FR 4804, BMNH R3961), a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Daiting (BMNH collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Mörnsheim Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Geosaurus gracilis by Fraas (1901).
