Geosaurus lapparenti

Osteichthyes - Metriorhynchidae

Taxonomy
Dacosaurus lapparenti was named by Debelmas and Strannoloubsky (1957). Its type specimen is UJF-ID.11847, a partial skeleton (isolated cranial remains, cervical and caudal vertebrae, and pectoral girdle elements), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Martre (Var), which is in a Valanginian marine horizon in France.

It was recombined as Geosaurus lapparenti by Young and Andrade (2009), Bronzati et al. (2012), Young et al. (2013), Parrilla-Bel and Canudo (2015).
