Taxonomy
Strombina sincola was named by Olsson (1922). Its type specimen is PRI 21059, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Strombina (Sincola) sincola by Olsson and Harbison (1953); it was recombined as Sincola (Sincola) sincola by Jung (1989).
