Taxonomy
Strombina pequenita was named by Marks (1951) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Ecuador.]. Its type specimen is PRI 20461, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Sincola (Sincola) pequenita by Jung (1989).
