Taxonomy
Plicatospiriferella akachanica was named by Klets (1998). Its type specimen is PGO K-205-18 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Buyundzha River K-205, Okhotsk region, which is in a Moscovian marine horizon in the Mishkinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
