Taxonomy
Plicatospiriferella costata was named by Klets (1998). Its type specimen is PGO K-1377/3 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sig River, K-1377, Yudoma River basin, Southern Verkhoyan, which is in a Gzhelian marine siliciclastic in the Akachan Formation of the Russian Federation.
