Parotosuchus helgolandicus

Taxonomy
Capitosaurus helgolandiae was named by Schroeder (1913). Its type specimen is MB Am.841, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Helgoland, Predigtstuhl, which is in a Smithian terrestrial sandstone in the Volpriehausen Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Parotosaurus helgolandiae by Welles and Cosgriff (1965); it was recombined as Parotosaurus helgolandicus by Kuhn (1971); it was recombined as Parotosuchus helgolandicus by Schoch and Milner (2000), Damiani (2001).
