Taxonomy
Aglyptorhynchus columbianus was named by Fierstine (2005). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aglyptorhynchus columbianus type locality, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine horizon in the Lincoln Creek Formation of Washington. It is the type species of Aglyptorhynchus.
