Neosemionotus puntanus
Taxonomy
Neosemionotus puntanus was named by López-Arbarello and Codorniú (2007) [Originally identified as a species of Lepidotes]. It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Loma del Pterodaustro fossil site, which is in a Cretaceous lacustrine - small mudstone in the Lagarcito Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Neosemionotus.
