Hyporhina antiqua
Taxonomy
Hyporhina antiqua was named by Baur (1893) [Skull measuring 10 x 5.5 mm]. Its type specimen is PU 11390 (complete articulated skull and lower jaws) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Battle Spring Draw (Lower Nodular Zone), which is in an Orellan terrestrial horizon in the Brule Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Hyporhina.
