Vipera natiensis
Taxonomy
Vipera natiensis was named by Bailon et al. (2002). Its type specimen is Nati-12 no. 1362, a set of vertebrae (a single trunk vertebra, probably of mid-trunk region), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Punta Nati, Site 12, which is in a Pliocene karst mudstone in Spain.
