Elaphe kormosi
Taxonomy
Coluber kormosi was named by Bolkay (1913). Its type specimen is HGI Ob-4465/a, c, d and e (syntypes), a partial skull (one basioccipital, one ectopterygoid, one fragmentary parabasisphenoid, and one fragmentary palatine), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Polgárdi 2, which is in a MN 13 sinkhole /limestone in Hungary.
It was recombined as Elaphe kormosi by Rage (1984), Venczel (1994).
