Taxonomy
Eoprotrachyceras gibsoni was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 28634 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 85533, Casket Mountain, which is in a Fassanian marine siliciclastic in the Sulphur Mountain Formation of Canada.
