Ybselosoecia was named by Canu and Lecointre (1933) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-l R. Sepkoski mis-spelled this genus as "Ybseloscoecia" instead of correct "Ybselosoecia"]. It is extant.
It was assigned to Cyclostomata by Sepkoski (2002), Kiessling (2003); and to Diaperoeciidae by Bassler (1953) and Bock (2004).
