Watsonisuchus rewanensis
Taxonomy
Parotosuchus rewanensis was named by Warren (1980). Its type specimen is QM F6571, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is QMF L78, "The Crater", which is in an Induan fluvial mudstone/ironstone in the Arcadia Formation of Australia.
It was synonymized subjectively with Rewanobatrachus gunganj by Schoch and Milner (2000); it was recombined as Watsonisuchus rewanensis by Damiani (2001), Maganuco et al. (2009), Poropat et al. (2023).
