Dyrosaurus phosphaticus
Taxonomy
Crocodilus phosphaticus was named by Thomas (1893). Its type specimen is MNHN 1901-11, a partial skeleton (one tooth, one caudal vertebra, one distal extremity of an ulna and one distal extremity of a radius), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Djebel Teldja, which is in a Ypresian marine phosphorite in Tunisia.
It was recombined as Dyrosaurus phosphaticus by Stefano (1903), Buffetaut (1978), Moody and Buffetaut (1981), Jouve (2005), Jouve et al. (2006), Bronzati et al. (2012) and Sertich and O'Connor (2014).
