Taxonomy
Mesohimavatites caponicus was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 71013 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 10741, Sikanni Chief River, which is in an Alaunian marine siliciclastic in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
