Taxonomy
Heraclites canadensis was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 71032 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 97580, Crying Girl Prairie Creek, which is in an Alaunian marine horizon in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
