Taxonomy
Tropites bufonis was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 28982 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 42389, Alaska Highway, which is in a Tuvalian marine siliciclastic in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
