Taxonomy
Neotenoceras simplex was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 85809 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC C-157373, Kunghit Island, which is in a Tuvalian marine horizon in the Peril Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Neotenoceras.
