Taxonomy
Cycloceltites cowichanensis was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 17015 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 23372, Cowichan Lake, which is in a Rhaetian carbonate limestone in the Sutton Formation of Canada.
