Taxonomy

Hallopora was named by Bassler (1911). Its type is Callopora elegantula. It is the type genus of Halloporidae.

It was assigned to Halloporidae by Bassler (1953), Jiménez-Sánchez (2009).

Synonyms

Callopora was named by Hall (1851) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara S Wenl Sepkoski's reference number: 511].

It was misspelled as Calopora by Sepkoski (2002); it was replaced with Hallopora by Bassler (1953), Key (1991), Ernst et al. (2015).

It was assigned to Trepostomida by Sepkoski (2002).
