Taxonomy
Cedaromys minimus was named by Eaton (2009). Its type specimen is UMNH VP 12836, a tooth (LM1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UMNH VP Loc. 162, Cedar Canyon roadcut, which is in a Cenomanian/Cenomanian floodplain mudstone/sandstone in the Naturita Formation of Utah.
