Taxonomy
Etalia johnstoni was named by Begg and Campbell (1985). Its type specimen is NZGS TM 5845 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GS 12450, Pig Valley Stream (N28/f0063), which is in an Anisian marine siltstone in the Te Arowhenua Formation of New Zealand. It is the type species of Etalia.
