Cassianopsis armata

Taxonomy
Naticella armata was named by Münster (1841). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is St. Cassian (Munster coll), which is in a Julian carbonate limestone in the Cassian Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Cassianopsis.

It was recombined as Neritopsis armata by Kittl (1892), Kittl (1899); it was recombined as Cassianopsis armata by Bandel (2007), Dominici (2024).
