Vipera platyspondyla
Taxonomy
Vipera platyspondyla was named by Szyndlar (1987). Its type specimen is DP FNSP 940, a set of vertebrae (a single trunk vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dolnice, which is in a MN 4 fluvial-lacustrine siltstone/marl in the Czech Republic.
