Rhynchocephalichnus pisanus
Taxonomy
Ichnites pisanus was named by Fucini (1915). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Agnano tracksite, Monte Pisano, which is in a Carnian delta plain siltstone/claystone in the Quarziti di Monte Serra Formation of Italy.
It was recombined as Rhynchosauroides pisanus by Demathieu and Haubold (1972); it was recombined as Rhynchocephalichnus pisanus by Huene (1941), Heller (1952), Tongiorgi (1980).
