Taxonomy
Meekoceras falcatum was named by Waagen (1895). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Amb, Stachella beds, Salt Range, which is in a Smithian coastal sandstone in the Ceratites Sandstone Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Xenodiscoides falcatus by Brühwiler and Bucher (2012).
