Taxonomy
Inyoites sedini was named by Zakharov and Moussavi Abnavi (2013). Its type specimen is DVGI 1/851 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Artyom SMID quarry, southern Primorye, which is in a Smithian carbonate marl in the Zhitkov Formation of the Russian Federation.
