Palaeopercichthys arabis
Taxonomy
Palaeopercichthys arabis was named by Greenwood (1983). Its type specimen is Incomplete syncranium, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jabal Umm Himar locality 60, which is in a Paleocene lagoonal mudstone in the Umm Himar Formation of Saudi Arabia. It is the type species of Palaeopercichthys.
