Pseudobolus was named by Cooper (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: O Llde-l O Cara-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1,397]. It is not extant. Its type is Palaeoglossa gibbosa.
It was assigned to Obolinae by Williams et al. (2000); and to Lingulida by Sepkoski (2002).
