Taxonomy
Ellimma cruzi was named by da Silva Santos (1990). It is not extant. Its type specimen is 34-Pv. DBAV-UERJ. Its type locality is Exposed shale along road PE-1, Serinhaem, Pernambuco, which is in an Aptian marine shale in the Cabo Formation of Brazil.
