Koipatoceras discoideus

Taxonomy
Koipatoceras discoideus was named by Silberling and Nichols (1982). Its type specimen is USNM 248631 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS M1180, divide between Congress and Big Canyons, which is in a Bithynian marine limestone/siltstone in the Prida Formation of Nevada. It is the type species of Koipatoceras.
