Axitectum georgi
Taxonomy
Axitectum georgi was named by Novikov and Shishkin (2000). Its type specimen is PIN 953/392, an osteoderm (Armor scute with posterior part broken off), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Okunevo (Fedorovka River), which is in an Olenekian terrestrial horizon in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Axitectum.
