Diplocynodon muelleri
Taxonomy
Hispanochampsa muelleri was named by Kalin (1936). Its type specimen is NMB Spa 4, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is El Talladell, Tàrrega, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial limestone in the Calcaries de Tàrrega Formation of Spain.
It was recombined as Diplocynodon muelleri by Piras and Buscalioni (2006), Martin (2010), Delfino and Smith (2012), Rio et al. (2020).
